BIC in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and Young Indians (Yi) Kolkata chapter conducted an eye screening camp for all staff and workers at our Howrah plant. As a manufacturer of ductile iron manhole covers and other castings, we wanted to help in little ways possible to improve the lives of our employees.
A total of 150 people were screened and tested by experienced personnel from Carenetram. After eye screening the workers were provided with subsidised glasses at Rs. 100 only. They were also given the opportunity to get a cataract removal surgery done in the near future free of cost.
In addition to this, blood sugar and blood pressure testing was also conducted. Lifestyle management solutions were provided to all workers to maintain a healthy blood sugar level.
We are thankful to Yi Kolkata Chapter for providing us with this opportunity to impact and care for the lives of our employees who work so hard to manufacture world class cast iron and ductile iron manhole covers, hubless pipes & fittings, and other industrial castings.
